Ashton Lodge Country House is an exclusive-use Edwardian venue set within 3 acres in Warwickshire, ideal for intimate and larger celebrations. This beautifully appointed country house accommodates 150-200 guests and features the intimate Garden Room (120 capacity), perfect for smaller weddings. With 14 individually styled bedrooms hosting up to 33 overnight guests, on-site civil ceremony licensing, and in-house catering using locally sourced ingredients, Ashton Lodge provides a complete wedding solution in a tranquil, romantic setting.

Ashton Lodge is set up first for larger weddings, with the Ashton Barn seating up to 156 for the meal, but it sets no minimum guest number and the house, Garden Room and grounds are yours alone on the day. What a smaller wedding does need to plan around is a minimum food and drink spend written into your contract, so it is worth asking early what that figure looks like for 30 or 40 people.

The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and naming ceremonies, either indoors in the Garden Room or outside in the landscaped gardens. You book the registrar yourselves through the local Warwickshire registration office in Rugby, and they arrive half an hour ahead of a ceremony that runs for roughly 30 minutes. Couples marrying in church can hold the reception here, and there are several churches close by.

Food comes only from the in-house chefs, who cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and outside caterers are not allowed. Choices run from a classic three-course meal to barbecues, with wood-fired pizzas a popular evening option. Menus are not made to order, and any dietary needs beyond vegetarian, vegan or pescatarian go through an online form at least eight weeks before. The venue is yours from 9am until midnight, with everyone off site by half past twelve.

There are 14 en-suite bedrooms in the main house sleeping up to 33, including a honeymoon suite, with a full English served in the breakfast room the next morning. Rooms are booked for one night, and couples who do not take them pay a non-occupancy fee. The house has no lift and no accessible bedrooms, though paths and doors are wide, ramps replace steps and there is an accessible toilet. Guests cannot bring animals, apart from a pet in the ceremony by prior agreement. The house is at Stretton under Fosse near Rugby, handy for Coventry and Leicester, and the team suggests booking taxis well ahead.
