Berwick Lodge is an award-winning luxury boutique hotel set in 18 acres of private gardens in Bristol's countryside, just 25 minutes from central Bristol. Berwick Lodge offers two quite different routes for a small wedding, so it is worth knowing which one you want before you enquire. The micro wedding package is built around 15 guests and stretches to 30 in total. It is non-exclusive, meaning other hotel guests are around, but you have private use of the lower restaurant until half five, and the package covers the ceremony, a prosecco and canapé reception, a three-course meal with wine and a deluxe suite for the night. There is also a package for just the two of you, with witnesses supplied and two nights in a suite.

If you would rather have the whole Victorian house to yourselves, exclusive use is available, though it is designed for guest lists starting at around 30. That gives you every room plus the gardens and grounds, along with the freedom to run the party late into the night.

The house is licensed for ceremonies both indoors and outside, with outdoor vows depending on the weather and a fully enclosed terrace as a winter alternative. Food comes from the hotel's own two AA Rosette kitchen, with formal or relaxed menus, and drinks can be served from a converted horsebox bar or the pub-style bar inside. You are welcome to bring your own suppliers or use the venue's recommendations.

There are 14 bedrooms sleeping 27, with a lift to the upper floors and further hotels within ten minutes' drive. The 18 acres of garden and woodland look across towards Wales, and dogs are welcome in the grounds. Ground and main floors have level or ramped access, apart from the upper Mews floor. The main caveat is timing: the two-person package is offered Monday to Thursday only, and from 2027 the micro wedding is too. The hotel is close to junction 17 of the M5.
