About

Cote How is a 500-year-old farmhouse and barn on the shore of Rydal Water, between Ambleside and Grasmere, run as a small wedding venue since 2013. The whole property is taken over for one wedding party at a time, with options ranging from a two-person elopement package through to a small day wedding for up to 24 guests. Couples can marry legally indoors or outdoors, with the rustic barn used for the wedding breakfast and elegantly styled rooms in the main house for pre and post ceremony drinks. Lawns and terraces open onto Lakeland mountain views for photographs. It is dog friendly too, so the family dog can be part of the day rather than left behind, and the team offer a planning service for a calmer run up.
