Culdees Castle Estate
Culdees Castle, Perth and Kinross, Scotland

About
Culdees Castle Estate is a beautifully restored Scottish castle offering an enchanting setting for intimate weddings and events. This historic venue features multiple signature rooms, a transformed chapel ceremony space, woodland grounds, and a garden pavilion. The estate combines timeless elegance with modern event facilities, providing couples with distinctive backdrops across six immersive spaces. With its commitment to preserving Scottish heritage and recently featured on Channel 4's Renovation Nation, Culdees Castle delivers a magical, personalized experience for memorable celebrations.
Culdees is a castle in the middle of a long restoration, and that is a big part of its character. The castle itself was designed by James Gillespie Graham, with its foundation stone laid in 1810, and after decades of decline the current owners are bringing it back to life, funding the work through weddings, glamping and events. The once derelict chapel was turned into a ceremony room for the owners' own wedding, and it is now a small, intimate space with stained glass, stone arches and a painted ceiling.
Smaller weddings are well catered for. The Garden Wedding Package is built for 2 to 30 guests over five hours, while the Intimate Package brings dining tables and chairs for 45 and opens up the glass-roofed courtyard, the chapel, the woodland ceremony area, the Whisky Snug, the Champagne Turret and Puck's Bar, with a firepit and courtyard heaters for cooler evenings. There is also an elopement option that includes a photographer. You can use one of the estate's recommended celebrants or bring your own, and handfasting or a quaich ceremony fit naturally here.
The practical points matter at Culdees. There is no in-house catering, so you hire your own caterer, and the Intimate and Ultimate packages give them use of the castle scullery and kitchen. Drinks are the opposite: Mobile Measures runs the bar for every wedding and you cannot bring another provider. The estate has parking for around 70 cars, and a golf buggy with driver between the car park and the venue comes with the Ultimate Package or can be hired separately.
Staying over is limited. There are four glamping cabins dotted around the meadow and woodland, each for two adults, with small kitchens, showers and wood-fired hot tubs available to hire, and they can be added to some packages. They are adults only and do not take pets, so most guests will need rooms elsewhere.
