Lapstone Barn is an exclusive-use 18th-century Cotswold barn nestled in the North Cotswolds near Chipping Campden. This honey-coloured stone venue accommodates up to 200 guests for ceremonies and dining, featuring a stunning bridal suite, on-site accommodation for 26 guests, open south-facing lawns, and an English courtyard. Set amongst rolling fields with acres of privacy, the venue offers complete exclusivity for your celebration. Lapstone Barn is a Grade II listed 18th-century barn on farmland in the North Cotswolds, about five minutes' drive from both Chipping Campden and Broadway. The venue is built to take large weddings, but it is exclusive use, so a smaller party gets the barn, the lawns and the courtyard garden entirely to itself. Civil ceremonies are arranged through the Gloucestershire register office, and the team suggests holding the ceremony between midday and 3pm.

The big draw for a small wedding is that everyone closest to you can sleep on site. There is room for 26 across three buildings: the farmhouse from around 1830 sleeps up to ten, the cottage takes four and the newly opened Stables have a suite plus five doubles. It is all held automatically for your wedding night, guests can walk across the fields to bed, and you can choose whether to cover the rooms or pass the cost on. If you marry Tuesday to Thursday you can book the night before straight away. Keep in mind the farmhouse is not wheelchair accessible.

Food is cooked by the in-house team only, so outside caterers are not an option. Menus run from canapés and shared platters to plated three-course dinners, with seasonal choices or something fully bespoke, and couples get a free tasting. You can bring your own wine and fizz for a corkage charge, but you cannot bring your own spirits.

Practical details are clearly set out. The bar runs until 12.30am and carriages are at 1am, confetti needs to be natural petals and fireworks are not allowed, though sparklers are. Dogs are welcome on the day. Bookings open up to two years ahead and late dates do come up, so it is worth asking even if your timeline is short.
