Quaint Country Weddings offers an enchanting celebration in Trelystan, Welshpool, centered around Wales' only timber-framed Grade II* listed black-and-white church. Couples can exchange vows in this historic setting before stepping into a modern marquee for their reception, all within one exclusive location. The venue provides comprehensive services including marquee setup, catering coordination, event staffing, and licensed bar facilities. Known for personalized, bespoke weddings ranging from elegant to bohemian styles, the venue is managed by dedicated hosts who provide attentive support throughout planning and execution.

Quaint Country Weddings is built around St Mary's in Trelystan, a small church that the venue says is unique in Wales for its timber frame, standing on an ancient barrow in the hills right on the Shropshire and Mid Wales border. Inside it is a single room with an arched roof, a flagstone floor, old pews and stained glass, and it seats around 100, so 30 or 40 guests fill it nicely without crowding. The church service itself is booked separately with the vicar, and if a church ceremony is not for you, a personalised celebrant ceremony can be arranged instead.

After the vows, the celebration moves down the church lane to a lined marquee on the venue's private ten acres, reached by an old track between two fields. The marquee is sized to your guest list and dressed however you like, and the whole site is yours for the day. Tables, chairs, toilets, parking and a PA for your own playlist are included, and pets, live bands and DJs are all welcome.

This is very much a blank canvas when it comes to food and drink. You can bring your own caterer, cook your own food or ask for help choosing anything from street food and a hog roast to formal caterers, and the bar comes from a mobile bar company of your choice. Canapés and welcome drinks served outside are part of the package. Janet Jones and her husband look after couples through the planning, and extra help with coordination or styling can be added.

There is no accommodation on site. Welshpool, about four miles away, has several hotels, and there are B&Bs and log cabins around the area. Shrewsbury is about 17 miles off, and the nearest railway station is around four miles from the venue.
