Thackray House

Callander, Stirling, Scotland

About

Thackray House is a historic country house hotel on the edge of Callander, at the gateway to the Trossachs, set in around twenty acres of gardens that run down to the River Teith. It hosts larger weddings too, but for a small party the Wilson Room seats up to 36 for dinner. Ceremonies can be held in the Library, the Drawing Room or the Wilson Room, all looking out over the river, and the Library opens onto a small chapel for religious ceremonies. Food comes from the hotel's own kitchen, built around local produce and Scottish recipes, and guests can stay over in the house's bedrooms and suites.
