Owen House Wedding Barn is a family-run, exclusive-use venue set on a working farm in rural Cheshire. The barn, converted in 2013, beautifully combines rustic countryside charm with modern amenities. The venue offers a civil ceremony room, dedicated bridal preparation areas (The Beauty Shed and Baa-ber Shed), on-site accommodation for wedding parties, and a bespoke photography studio. Guests can enjoy a quiet break-out room, and the venue provides customizable food and bar services. Perfect for couples seeking an intimate, all-in-one wedding experience with character and thoughtful facilities.

Owen House is on Small Lane in Mobberley, on a family-run working farm in the Cheshire countryside. Ceremonies take place in a licensed room right next to the barn, reached through a hidden door, with Cheshire East registrars conducting them, so there is no moving guests between venues.

Food comes from one of two outside caterers the venue works with, The Cheshire Dining Experience or Vanilla In All Seasons, and either will build a menu around what you want. The bar is run by the venue's own staff, with craft gins and rums, a long whisky list, local cask ales and wines picked for your day. Couples are invited to a wine tasting before the wedding to choose what to pour.

Accommodation is generous for a barn venue and is reserved for your guests. There are eight double and two family rooms, four mezzanine rooms with king-size beds looking out over the farm, three B&B rooms in the farmhouse next door and a separate couple's suite with its own sitting room and an outdoor copper bath facing the fields. You get a code to share with the people you want to book, and breakfast is served in a converted container known as the tool shed. Getting ready is well thought through too, with a salon-style Beauty Shed, the Baa-ber Shed with a barber chair and a beer fridge plus a quiet break-out room off the barn for anyone who needs five minutes.

The honest caveat is size. The barn seats 200 and the ceremony room seats 120, so a wedding of 30 or 40 will use only part of the space. It works best for a smaller party that wants lots of people staying on site and is happy with a big, characterful room.
