Swancar Farm Country House is an exclusive countryside wedding venue near Nottingham offering a blend of rustic charm and contemporary elegance. Swancar Farm is a country house on Trowell Moor at Trowell, about 15 minutes from Nottingham city centre. It only ever holds one event a day, which means the house, grounds and bedrooms are yours alone. The approach is a long single-track lane with few passing places, so it is worth warning guests to take it slowly.

The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships, and for a smaller wedding the Gallery, on the upper floor of the barn, is the room to look at, described by the venue as an intimate spot for vows, with a maximum of 100 seated. A Glass Barn is also licensed for ceremonies. Drinks then move to the barn, the courtyard and the gardens. The wedding breakfast and evening party happen in the Oak Hall, with the Orangery kept for a nightcap at the end. If you are marrying in church, Trowell and Cossall churches are both nearby and the venue hosts receptions afterwards.

Catering is in-house only, with chefs cooking either a set menu or a small choice menu, and all drinks come from the two bars, so you cannot bring your own. The bar and music run until midnight.

Staying on site is a real draw. There are eleven bedrooms, including the couple's suite, and a separate cottage called the Old Stables that sleeps eight, with its own entrance, parking and a patio over the fields. It is set up for a relaxed night before, with a kitchen, lounge and a breakfast hamper. Pets are not allowed indoors, though a dog can join photos in the grounds by arrangement with the planner.
