Dunglass Estate Events is an award-winning luxury wedding venue in East Lothian, featuring a stunning 15th-century Gothic church as its ceremonial centerpiece. The half-ruined church, constructed of warm grey stone, provides an atmospheric and romantic setting for ceremonies. The estate offers a curated selection of award-winning Scottish caterers, handpicked suppliers for all event needs, and on-site accommodation designed as a home-away-from-home experience. The dedicated wedding team provides comprehensive support from initial enquiry through to the wedding day, helping couples create their perfect celebration in this enchanting countryside setting.

For small weddings Dunglass offers an Intimate Wedding Package built around 28 guests, which neatly matches the number the estate's own cottages and houses can sleep. It runs midweek only, in February and March and from October to December. You marry either in the 15th-century church or in the Stable Yard room, then move to the Dunglass Pavilion for the meal, and the estate says the package can be pared right back for an elopement.

The package bundles in canapés and a three-course meal from the catering partner Platter and Pop, a drink per guest for the reception and toast, half a bottle of wine each with dinner and a staffed evening bar, along with serving staff and all the tableware. A décor add-on covers things like candles, runners and a ceremony backdrop. Outside the package, you choose one of the estate's partner caterers, who also run the bar, and food trucks are welcome for the evening.

Accommodation is part of the appeal. Seaview House has four bedrooms for up to eight, with a garden looking over the Firth of Forth, a hot tub and a fire pit. Three courtyard cottages sleep six each, and the treehouse with its own hot tub is kept for the two of you. All are self-catering and included for the night before and the night of the wedding, with a shuttle to and from the church for guests in Seaview House and the treehouse, and you may meet the resident alpacas.

A practical point: the church is a historic stone ruin with no windows or heating, so on a winter date guests are advised to bring blankets, and the Stable Yard is the wet-weather fallback. Dunbar station is around ten minutes away by car along the A1. Dogs can join the ceremony and photos but must leave before the meal, and there is dog boarding on the estate. Package dates change, so confirm current availability.
