Hadley Park only holds one wedding a day, so even though it is a working hotel the day still feels like yours. For a smaller wedding the Conservatory is the room to know. It is where most ceremonies happen, it seats up to 80 and it has a colonial feel with wooden shutters and drapes across the ceiling, so 30 or 40 guests will not feel lost in it. The hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships, and there is also a dedicated ceremony area in the gardens under mature trees for couples who want to marry outdoors.

The legal side runs through the Wellington register office, which you book directly for your date and time. After the ceremony there are canapés and drinks before the wedding breakfast, and you can taste the menus beforehand. In summer the terrace over the gardens is the obvious spot for photographs, while on a wet day the wide staircase and landings with their tall windows make a good indoor alternative.

There are 22 bedrooms, split between House Rooms in the Georgian manor and West Wing rooms, so your guests can stay right where the party is. If you want the whole place to yourselves, exclusive use is offered as an upgrade. It covers every room, lounge and the grounds from midday until 11am the next morning, and if your guests pay for their own rooms, all 22 need to be filled, which works best if most of your guests are staying.

The hotel is in Telford, with easy road links into the West Midlands, and the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site is close by for guests making a weekend of it. The hotel also welcomes same-sex weddings and vow renewals.
